About Us

Today’s tracking systems – embedded in drones and robots, military equipment, warehouse vehicles, medical devices, AR/VR glasses, and dozens of other applications – must provide full 6DOF (six degrees of freedom). This means that the object or user’s absolute position and orientation in real-world space are tracked and instantly communicated to your system.

The key ingredients for the success of such a system are speed, accuracy, and low latency – all at low cost. The market has confirmed that the lack of any one of these almost assures sluggish adoption rates.

Sixdof Space has created an optical tracking solution offering precision landing with cm level accuracy both indoors and outdoors in direct sunlight. Our patented technology leverages infrared lighting to serve as location beacons. Our sensor unit, connected to your drone or robot, can see the beacons on the ground (or opposite the sensor; currently tested up to 100 meters). Our algorithms will report the 6DOF positional data to the drone/robot, to direct an autonomous landing, docking or relative position.

Sixdof Space was founded in 2017 and is based both in Israel and in the United States.

Current Offerings

Sixdof Space expanded from its initial market focus on the VR sector (head tracking), to developing relationships with a substantial list of well-known defense and tech companies, each looking for help in solving their unique project-specific tracking challenges. The company has customers in sectors including Drone Delivery, Drone landing on moving targets, Surgical robotics, Mid-air refueling, Pilot headset tracking, and        General AR/VR.
